Tune those skis or board, get a good nights rest, have a
healthy breakfast, put a smile on your face, and be prepared for one of the best
snow days you've ever had!! Monarch Mountain, REAL Colorado!!
Great powder,
spectacular views, 1000+ acres of expert terrain,
steeps, trees, cliffs, and bowls - that's Monarch Mountain's snowcat terrain.
Considered some of the best snowcat skiing in the state, guests
enjoy skiing/riding in closely spaced trees, variable snow conditions, and
extremely steep slopes.
A normal tour will average 10 to 12 runs per day at an average
of 900 vertical feet per run. This is steep, expert terrain with varying
conditions to be expected.
Space is limited to 12 guests per
day and the cat runs from the
end of December through early April as conditions permit. It's always a
possibility that earlier trips may become available. Keep an eye on the web site
or send us an email to be included in our updates on conditions and
availability.
"Monarch Powder Cat services 900 acres, all of which are
just outside the Monarch ski area boundary. But Monarch Powder Cats proves the
old adage that looks can be deceiving. The terrain is steep, the snow falls in
copious amounts and the attitude is laid back, which is why FREESKIER tries to
fill one of their cats with a bunch of pros every winter for an epic
day"
