Cross-country Skiing & Snowshoeing

The cross country center offers 29 kilometers of groomed cross country and snowshoe trails. Beginning, intermediate and advanced trails wind their way through a gorgeous high valley called Babbish Gulch, flanked by Sunlight Mountain and the 10,300 foot Williams Peak. Cross Country and Snow Shoe rentals are available at the Sunlight Mountain Ski and Bike shop as well as up on the mountain. There is no charge for trail use.

Each year on the Sunday closest to December 7th, Sunlight Mountain Resort hosts the Day of Infamy Snowshoe Race, an exhilarating race which winds 8 kilometers through the Gulch. The race was created in 1991 as a way to honor the servicemen who lost their lives at Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941. Over the years, it has become a popular community event where the whole family can compete for fun and prizes.
